Great campground. The loop trail is brutal and challenging.

Beautiful place to stay, quite and secluded. The only draw back is no stores near by so unless your not staying overly long or don't mind going to Alma or mulberry for supplies then it's great. The lake used to be good fishing I haven't been back since they drained the lake and refilled and restocked it. Not to far is White Rock which is breathtaking.
This is a great camping and backpacking location. Flush toilets at Shores Lake with picnic tables and prepared tent pads. The 13 mi hiking trail can be hiked in a day or used for backpacking. Primitive campsites are located on the East or West side of the loop. The trail also give about 1,200 ft in elevation change if you go to the top at White Rock Mountain. Great prep hike for Philmont Treks.
Secluded and quiet a bit hard to find but great trails and lake Worth the stay paid 10 dollars for 2 nights in a tent
